The Second Half of Life can be a time of great transition and uncertainty that may leave us anxious, depressed, grieving, isolated, or in pain. With aging comes many changes and challenges AND this time of turbulence holds vast opportunities for growth and healing.
My years in the field of mental health have been diverse, including both inpatient and outpatient settings. I, like you, come to the therapy room with experiences hard won from years of living and learning, and focus on growth not pathology. I am passionate about helping individuals improve their overall mental well-being during the aging process, incorporating their values into solutions for each person's unique challenges.
I emphasize holistic care focusing on the mind, body and soul using evidence-based approaches and creativity. Together, we can enhance coping with life-altering diagnoses, thrive despite chronic medical illness, manage change and loss, make changes to improve health outcomes, process end-of-life/dying issues, make meaning, and treat grief, anxiety and depression.
